Amber Roper, LPC

Therapist

My journey in healthcare has been marked by a commitment to trauma-informed care. Having worked as a trauma specialist, mental health therapist, and neuropsychologist in private practice, I have dedicated myself to helping individuals navigate through various challenges, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other trauma-related issues. Currently pursuing my doctoral degree in Traumatology from Liberty University, I am driven to deepen my understanding of trauma and its impact on individuals.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, which I find invaluable in empowering clients to navigate their mental health journeys. I believe in forming a collaborative partnership with my clients, where their priorities and choices play a central role in the therapeutic process.

Outside of my professional endeavors, you’ll often find me hiking the breathtaking mountains of Colorado with my loyal dog. I am passionate about creative expressions such as writing, teaching, and recording music. In my leisure, I cherish the opportunity to travel with friends, creating memories and embracing new experiences.

I am excited to bring my skills and enthusiasm to the Intensive Outpatient Program at Lokiten Behavioral Health, where I will be focusing on trauma-informed care and contributing to the expansion of mental health services in our community.

Looking forward to making a positive impact together!
