Tanya Portee

Clinical Director

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in diverse settings including youth residential treatment, corrections, oncology, and outpatient therapy. My specialty lies in supporting individuals through grief and loss, life transitions, chronic illness, suicide intervention and prevention, and establishing healthy boundaries, among other areas. I collaborate closely with my clients to discover creative approaches and interventions, ensuring that I meet them where they are and foster a strong working rapport. I firmly believe in the importance of the professional relationship between client and therapist as the foundation for a productive and engaging therapeutic journey. My aim is to provide an inclusive, unbiased, and welcoming experience for all.

In my practice, I employ various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, family systems theory, narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing, among others, to tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs and circumstances.
